Are you a professional groomer?
Jordana is a certified veterinary technician (VTNE, New Jersey, 2022) and a FelineVMA Certified Cat Friendly Veterinary Professional. Comfy Claws offers basic grooming and hygiene care — nail trims, ear cleaning, sanitary shaves, matt shaves and basic lion cuts — using cat-friendly handling techniques endorsed by the Feline Veterinary Medical Association. If you are not sure whether your cat’s coat is a good fit, book a 30-minute grooming consultation ($25) and 25% of the fee is credited toward the grooming service.
Which areas do you travel to?
Philadelphia and South Jersey. Travel fees are $6.75 or $13.50 in Philadelphia and $3.25, $6.75 or $9.25 in South Jersey depending on the zone. We also travel outside the primary service area — to neighborhoods such as East Falls, Manayunk, the Main Line and more — for an additional travel fee; spots there are limited and often must be booked 1–3 weeks in advance to coordinate availability.
Can you help with my cat’s regular injections at home?
Yes. Injectable Medication Administration is $26 per injection and is ideal for cats who need weekly or monthly injections such as vitamin B12 or prescription allergy shots; it can also be used for daytime insulin injections. You provide the syringes and needles dispensed by your veterinarian or pharmacy. If you need daily long-term help with insulin, contact us for a custom quote.
What happens if my cat won’t cooperate?
If your cat becomes too difficult to restrain or starts showing signs of aggression (which is usually a fear response), we stop and give them a short break, resuming only once it is clear they are ready to continue. If they show that they will no longer tolerate restraint, we do not continue with the service and we discuss options with you. One exception to note: on a Basic Lion Cut there are no refunds if the service cannot be completed due to the cat’s temperament.
Do I need to supply anything for medication visits?
For injectable medications, clients provide their own syringes and needles as dispensed by their veterinarian or pharmacy. For subcutaneous fluids, the fluids must be in the original bag, and fluids, lines and needles must be prescribed and dispensed by your cat’s veterinarian and clearly labeled with your cat’s name — or, if no prescription label is present, we must see written records from your veterinarian with clear instructions. If the bag and line need to be assembled, there is an additional $8 fee.
Do you offer packages?
Yes. The Spa Day package is $85 and includes a nail trim, sani-shave, ear cleaning and gentle brush out (if kitty will tolerate). The Nail Trim + Ear Cleaning package is $50. Both are valid for one month.
What is your cancellation policy?
Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled online up to 24 hours prior to the start time. If you need to cancel or reschedule less than 24 hours prior to your appointment, please contact us at (856) 652-0013. Please note: appointments canceled between 2–24 hours prior to the start time may be charged a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the estimated service total; appointments canceled with less than 2 hours’ notice may be charged a cancellation fee of up to 100%. Cancellation fees may be reduced or waived for extenuating circumstances at our sole discretion.
